People's faces usually reflect a wide range of social information. So, it's not surprising that the tendency to pay immediate attention to faces is deeply rooted in our nature. On the one hand, facial recognition allows us to easily distinguish between faces and other objects. On the other hand, facial recognition allows us to associate faces with different identities or persons.
