Make use of the placebo effect!

In a recent article published in the German national newspaper "Die Zeit", Prof. Dr. Winfried Rief from the University of Marburg discusses how the placebo effect can be used for the benefit of patients.

Prof. Rief argues that the German health care system ignores the measurable effects of professional patient consultations, and how this must change to use the well-known placebo effect to the patients' benefit. Prof. Rief is also PI within the related Collaborative Research Center TRR 289 on Treatment Expectations.
