TU Professor Kersting on Europe's competitiveness in the field of AI
In a statement for the Science Media Centre (SMC) Germany, TU professor Kristian Kersting gave his assessment of how competitive Europe is in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
Kersting emphasized that Europe and Germany are internationally recognized leaders in academic AI research, but still lag behind in commercial implementation. He calls for major investments in AI infrastructure, especially high-performance computing and hardware to secure global competitiveness and reduce dependence on U.S. and Chinese systems.
