Jan Peters on the senses of modern robots
Jan Peters in the latest episode of the podcast "Tech-Affair – Industry for Future’ entitled ‘Robotics – When machines develop senses that are more refined than ours".
Peters, head of the Intelligent Autonomous Systems group at the Department of Computer Science at TU Darmstadt, explains that many sensory capabilities of robots have been superior to human senses for decades. Nevertheless, the technology has long been unable to put this potential to practical use.
