AI and Play Drive
Prof. Kristian Kersting was a guest in the German TV show "scobel" at 3sat on September 15, 2022.
With host Gerd Scobel and two other guests he discussed the possibilities of self-learned artificial intelligence in board games such as chess and Go. The scientist expressed the hope that through this approach artifical intelligence (AI) could help society prepare for problems of the future: "Maybe games are the gateway to the world of AI." In the future, artificial intelligence will be able to respond "just as well as humans or even better," Kersting said. "Or at least, and this is what I actually hope, be a good partner or support us." The big question then, he said, will be where AI should be used.
