My research is aimed at understanding and supporting decision making processes, particular in the field of consumer decision making. Research in my lab uses desktop eye-tracking but in particular also eye-tracking in virtual reality for doing so. Besides trying to understand underlying mechanisms we also build and evaluate technical systems, like intelligence assistance system and chatbots, that adapt to the user’s needs and cognitive processes. I am also PI in the DFG graduate school KD²School: Designing Adaptive Systems For Economic Decision-Making.
