My  research focuses on understanding the computational and neuronal mechanisms underlying cognitive functions, with a special focus on the human visual system. Using a combination of behavioral experiments, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and mathematical modeling, I investigate perceptual constancy and adaptation mechanisms, effects of context and prior experience, as well as perceptual learning and decision making.
