Jan Peters wins first Amazon Research Award at TU Darmstadt

A team from Darmstadt University of Technology has received an Amazon Research Award (ARA) 2021 for its robotics research. It is the first such research award from the US company for the TU.

The award goes to a research project on "Learning Robot Manipulation from Tactile Feedback" in the field of Autonomous Intelligent Systems by computer science professor and Hessian. The US company announced on 18 July 2022 that the team will receive a grant worth a total of approximately $95,000, as well as access to select Amazon research infrastructure.
