ERC Grant for TUDa Professor Georgia Chalvatzaki

EU funds research on robotic embodied intelligence with 1.5 million euros

The "Europäische Forschungsrat" has awarded Professor Georgia Chalvatzaki a prestigious "ERC Starting Grant" and is funding the project "SIREN – Structured Interactive Perception and Learning for Holistic Robotic Embodied Intelligence" with a total of 1.5 million euros over a period of five years. This will further strengthen TUDa's activities in robotics and artificial intelligence (AI).

The aim of the project is to develop innovative AI robot software architectures to enable human-like robots to perform challenging tasks in unstructured and dynamic environments. More information can be found here and here.
