ERC Grant for JLU Professor Daniel Kaiser
EU funds research on individual differences in internal models with 1.5 million euros
The "Europäische Forschungsrat" has awarded Professor Daniel Kaiser a prestigious "ERC Starting Grant" and is funding the project "PEP – Personalized priors: How individual differences in internal models explain idiosyncrasies in natural vision" with a total of 1.5 million euros over a period of five years. This will further strengthen JLU's activities in cognitive science and artificial intelligence (AI).
The aim of the project is to use a combination of methods from neuroscience and machine learning to understand and identify individual differences between internal models of our world, and use these differences to understand perceptual functions in complex natural scenes.
