Trajectories of Affective Disorders

DFG is funding new Collaborative Research Centre of the University of Marburg

The new CRC TRR 393 "Trajectories of Affective Disorders: Cognitive-emotional mechanisms of symptom change" of the universities of Marburg, Dresden and Münster aims at a better understanding of the course of mental disorders and the recurrence of clinical episodes and their remission by investigating the underlying cognitive-emotional mechanisms. In the long term, the CRC is working towards the development of innovative treatment approaches for mental illnesses and their implementation at an early stage of an disorder. The spokesperson for the interdisciplinary CRC is the psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Tilo Kircher; other participating TAM members from Marburg are AvH Prof. Stefan Hofmann, PhD, Prof. Dr. Winfried Rief, Prof. Dr. Benjamin Straube, Prof. Dr. Nina Alexander, Dr. Irina Falkenberg, Prof. Dr. Andreas Jansen, and Prof. Hamidreza Jamalabadi, PhD.
